Sandra Myers, CPDT-KA
Head Trainer & Owner

Sandra found her love of dog training at the young age of eighteen after her family adopted a dog with an unknown history of aggression.
Since 2015, she has gained invaluable knowledge and experience through training with over 10 species of large animals, box stores, private dog training businesses, board certified veterinary behaviorists, and board and train facilities.
Sandra now specializes in doing in-home work with aggression, reactivity, and anxiety based behavior modification for dogs.
She constantly strives for new certifications, takes online courses, and attends conferences to keep herself up to date on the most recent reward-based, humane, and scientifically effective training methods.
Our Team
John Dao, CPDT-KA
Dog Trainer
John has been training his own fearful dog for five years, which sparked his passion for helping other dog guardians facing similar challenges. Certified through the CPDT, John has over 400 hours of hands on experience. He focuses on basic manners, mild behavior modification cases, and young hyperactive dogs using humane, reward-based training methods.

John offers in-home training for dogs of all ages.

Nick Myers

Nick is the "human guinea pig" in our Reactive Rovers programs.

Nick is on his way to working in the film industry but, being the guardian of a reactive dog himself, loves helping people reach behavior modification goals in between college classes and content creation.
Behavior Attendant
Kiera Moe
dog walker
Kiera is passionate about photography and dogs.

Whether it’s a short potty break or a long adventure walk, she treats every dog like her own — with love, patience, and lots of belly rubs. She's here to make sure your furry friend is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away!

Rosie is Sandra's heart and soul.

She's also an excellent demo dog for our Reactive Rovers programs, being that she is very neutral around other dogs and trained to near-perfection (duh, her mom's a dog trainer!). She loves working for Turkey Pepperoni and would trade her humans for a Honey Nut Cheerio.

Training Philosophy

Our team has a core belief that the animals we invite into our lives deserve the best version of us. We strive to truly understand the canine mind and create effective wavelengths of communication between them and their humans.
All of our research, hands on experience, and time with top professionals in the field has brought us to the conclusion that dogs learn most effectively and retain knowledge for much longer periods of time with motivational, force-free training methods.

What does this mean for you and your dog?

Amazing things! It's our dream to reach into as many households as possible to change the way humans interpret their dog's frustrating, funny, and confusing behaviors. We provide positive, structured training programs to help you understand your dog like a pro and give you and your dog a new level of appreciation for each other.

What Should You Expect When You Work with Our Team?
At AgapeDogs, we look at behavior through the lens of something we call Whole Dog Wellness.
Our goal is to help you create a physically, mentally, and emotionally sound dog. This may include teaming up with your veterinarian to rule out physical and/or mental health issues that could be contributing to behavior issues, deep diving into the addition of mental enrichment and stimulation, potentially including a groomer or grooming practices that can help with coat, teeth, and nail care needs, adjusting physical exercise routines, and identifying and encouraging species and breed-typical behaviors.

Basically, we really like letting our dogs be dogs here, and we want them to be the healthiest versions of themselves so they can be the calmest, happiest, best behaved versions of themselves!
What is Agape?
UH-gah-pay
Agape is a Greek word that means unconditional, selfless, and sacrificial love. It's a love rooted in deep care and unwavering commitment to the well-being of another—regardless of circumstances and without expectation in return.

This kind of love isn’t just a feeling—it’s an action.
As dog guardians, we live it out every single day:
patiently, lovingly, wholeheartedly.

Dogs reflect this same kind of love back to us.
They’re loyal. They forgive. They're always excited to see us. They don’t hold grudges. They don’t keep score.
It’s just love — pure and simple.

So when we talk about the bond between a person and their dog?
We believe it’s one of the clearest, most powerful expressions of agape love there is, hence the name: AgapeDogs.
